Do you know the situation, you are sitting on your terrace at sunset with a nice drink, in a nice company and bit by bit all your nice flowers, bushes and trees are disappearing in the darkness. To light up your garden you need to stand up, going to the house and switching the light on.That's the procedure I saw many often.

Now imagine all those comes on automatically and you do not need to leave the scenery and your can enjoy the peace of the moment without interruption. That's where the Home automation comes in place.

 

Required Hardware:


Relay distribution boxes or Relay fuse boxes and Daylight sensor

 

 

 How it works ...

  • I have implemented 2 dependencies, Sun position and occupancy of the house.
  • If the house is occupied the garden lights are coming "ON" 15 minutes before dusk. It will be switched "OFF" at 01.00AM at night. Because the house is often rent out for holiday guests I trigger the "OFF" command 2 times more to make sure it will be switched off in case the guests did switched it on after 01.00AM.
  • If the house is NOT occupied the garden lights will be switched "ON" at dusk and "OFF" at 23.00AM
  • To install those equipment and including into your existing smart home system an electrician need usually about 2 hour.
